Composition techniques

Para nossa redação em inglês teremos alguns passos para serem seguidos:

Parágrafo de introdução, sentença do tópico, sentenças de apoio, sentença de conclusão e comentário conclusivo.

Composition Techniques:

1-Introduction paragraph: General statements, a general idea about the topic.
2-Topic sentence: Controlling idea
3-Supporting sentence: Usually 3 or more, you have to prove why your topic sentence is true. 3.1: First of all, firstly, the first reason, to start with.
3.2: Second, secondly, the second reason.
3.3: Third, thirdly, the third point.
4-Concluding sentence: Go back to your topic sentence with the same idea but different words to remind the reader of your idea.
Use: In conclusion, to sum up, to summarize, considering all the reasons, in view of these reasons
5-Concluding Comment: Optional.
Don't write things like: In my opinion, for me, I think...

Example to be followed:

Euthanasia

1-There are several people getting sick and going to the hospitals every year for many reasons, some of them go there because they need to go through surgery or just because they are treating a very bad disease that probably has no cure yet and some are in the hospital to be treated for their whole life or even live there, like for example people who cannot breathe by themselves and need medical assistance all the time. Some people think they should die, but 2- euthanasia should be forbidden for several reasons.
3.1- First, God is the one who should decide if an individual has to live or not.
3.2- Second, there have been several medical advancements in many areas, and a cure for the disease can be found.
3.3- Third, the patient may change his/her mind during the course of the disease.
4- In conclusion, many reasons prove that euthanasia should not be legalized.
5- Euthanasia is a mortal sin.
