Verb there to be - verbo haver (Present - Past - Future)

                                                 There + to be = haver, existir, ter.

Presente	Passado
There is = existe, há	There was = existia, havia
There is not (negativa)	There was not (negative)
There are = existem, há	There were = existiam, havia
There are not (negativa)	There were not (negativa)
Is there? (interrogativa)	Was there? (interrogativa)
Are there? (Interrogativa)	Were there? (interrogativa)

Formas abreviadas: there’s, there isn’t, there aren’t, there wasn’t, there weren’t.

Usa-se there + to be para indicar que:

·        Algo existe

·        Um evento ou atividade

·        Quantidade

Erro comum feito por estudantes brasileiros:

Tem uma TV em casa. (Have one TV at home).

Não se fala assim. O correto é: There is one TV at home.

Em português é comum usar o verbo “ter” no sentido de haver, existir.                                                            Em inglês não se faz isso. É preciso

 usar o verbo “there to be”.

       Futuro: There will be (haverá, existirá, terá). Negativo: There won't be. Perguntas: Will there be? (Haverá?...).

Pesquise como é o verbo “there to be” no Simple Future e nos modal verbs. Faça frases e depois         trabalhe nas traduções.
